OUR BUILDING

Six MainConstructed in 1902 on the banks of the Pattaconk River and enlarged several times, the Chester Savings Bank has stood as a landmark in downtown Chester for over 100 years. The parking lot once held horse sheds and a barn used by travelers stopping at the nearby Chester Hotel and by locals who came to town to do their trading.

Renovated in 2012 for Six Main Restaurant the bank has once again brought life to this small corner of Chester, and its stately architecture, elegant interior, and private parking add measurably to the experience of dining at Six Main. Part of the renovations included replacing the original 1918 hand-wound tower clock, which is now at the Town Hall, with a new clock, reminding everyone just what time it is.
